EMIR - Useful information
G20 member States decided to make the derivatives market more transparent and to develop rules to prevent systemic risks. This was accomplished on 16 August 2012 in the form of Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (“EMIR Regulation”).
In the framework of the EMIR Regulation several measures enter into force at various dates, such as the portfolio reconciliation obligation introduced in September 2013 or the reporting obligation that entered into force on 12 February 2014.
In connection with the EMIR and the issue of the reporting obligation further information can be found on the Keler website’s Information/EMIR section.
Should you have any questions in connection with EMIR or the reporting obligation please contact your customer manager with confidence.
