You can use our partners' discounts if you: 

  • are a UniCredit Bank retail customer,

  • have an active residential debit or credit card,

  • downloaded the mBanking mobile application,

  • registered for the Card+ Discount Program.

How to activate discounts?

If you have already joined the Card+ Discount Program, you can activate the discounts one by one. You can access the conditions of the promotions by clicking on the discounts on the details page that opens.

Click the „Activate" button, after that, no matter how many times you shop with your debit or credit card in the given store (in person or in the webshop), you can receive a refund based on your purchases for the period until the offer expires.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Card+ Discount Program and why do we recommend it to you?

The Card+ Discount Program is a shopping discount program provided by UniCredit Bank, with which you can receive a discount on retail purchases made with a debit or credit card issued by UniCredit Bank at participating merchants. This can also apply to physical purchases in stores or webshops - it always depends on the conditions of the given offer. Registration and use of the Card+ Discount Program is free. In case of offers where the discount is a refund, the cashback will be paid afterwards.

With which card purchases are you entitled to a refund?

The program is available with all retail debit and/or credit cards. The condition for the refund is that the given bank card is assigned to the mBanking service and has an active status. The discount program includes both main and partner cards. The cards do not need to be  egistered separately, they automatically participate in the program, thanks to the registration of the customer with the main card. Refunds for purchases with debit main and partner cards are credited to the current account primarily set up for the account holder's bank card. In case of credit cards, the cashback is made to the credit card settlement account. The service and/or its offers are not available:

  • with corporate debit and credit cards,
  • with debit and credit cards with non-active status (i.e. closed, banned, pending termination, terminated or expired)

Where can you find the Card+ Discount Program?

In the mBanking service, in the "Card+ Discount Program" submenu of the "Settings" menu item, you can register for the program after reading and accepting the Card+ Terms and Conditions and the Data Privacy Document related to the service – provided you have an active debit and/or credit card.

Are credit card purchases also included in the service?

Yes, purchases made with a retail credit card that meet the conditions of the discount program are also valid.

Can the Kártya+ discount be combined with other credit card discounts?

The use of the service is independent of any other discount program and does not affect credit card cashbacks. If you register for the Card+ Discount Program, the discounts collected in this way do not affect your credit card cashback entitlement.

Is the program also available with a partner card?

Partner card holders can also participate in the program if the account holder to whom the partner card is linked registers into the program on their own mBanking interface and activates the offers. In this case, the refund will be calculated by the system even after the purchases with the partner card. Refunds for purchases with debit main and partner cards are credited to the current account primarily set up for the account holder's bank card. In the case of credit cards, the cashback is made to the credit card settlement account.

Is there any cost related to Card+?

No, you do not need to pay any fees for using the service.

How can you get the refund?

After registration, enter the service and activate the offers you like. Remember that it is necessary to activate the offers before starting the purchase! Read carefully the terms and and take them into account when purchasing from the respective merchants. The details of the offers in the mBanking application are only available in Hungarian so you may ask help or use a translator to understand the conditions. After that, all you have to do is wait for the monthly refund. In the mBanking service, you can track whether the refund received is displayed after the given transaction has been posted.

Are there always the same offers available?

No, the range of offers and merchants changes regularly. It is worth constantly monitoring the Card+ discounts. You can find new offers that are interesting for you. We will periodically send a reminder message or an attention-grabbing messages so that you do not miss out on the news.

What makes an offer personalized?

The content and duration of the offers may differ from customer to customer. Not all users receive offers from all merchants participating in the program, it depends on the type and frequency of their previous spending. You can find information about the detailed conditions of each offer in their description. The details of the offers in the mBanking application are only available in Hungarian so you may ask help or use a translator to understand the conditions.

What should you pay attention to regarding the offers?

  • the amount of the refund, the validity period of theoffer;
  • the store(s) and/or online store(s) where the offer isavailable;
  • conditions, restrictions and other special requirements of the offer (e.g. maximum discount amount or special requirementsfor redemption)

How many offers are available in the service at the same time?

Typically, at least 30 offers are available at the same time in the Card+ Discount Program.

What happens after activating an offer? How many times can it be used and how long is it valid for?

The validity period and conditions of the offers are included in the detailed description of each offer. The offer applies to all card purchases made during the discount period, with the limit specified in the detailed description of the offer.

Where can the offer be used? Store or webshop?

The conditions under which it is valid are included in the detailed description of each offer. If the description of the offer does not state otherwise, the discount also applies to in-store and online purchases. Please note that offer details are only available in Hungarian.  

What does the label "shop online" mean next to an offer? What to do in this case?

In such a case, the discount applies to the purchase made in the merchant's webshop, in which case the purchase must be settled as an online card payment. The purchase must be completed on the interface to which the button redirected you, thus fulfilling the conditions to receive the discount
after the purchase.

When will you receive the cashback?

The amount of the refund is credited once a month to the primary account and/or credit card settlement account of the account holder's debit card. In case of debit cards, crediting takes place no later than the 10th working day of the following month. In case of credit cards, cashback is paid on the day when the monthly statement is prepared, which can be the 10th or 25th of the given month. You can check the credit on your monthly statement, credit card transaction statement, mBanking service, or eBank.

Where can I see the amount of the refunds?

Check your mBanking service, click on Offers / Card+ menu, and the amount of refunds collected in the given month will be visible in the Total Saving summary. There is a separate line for pending payments, and below that amount you can find of all cashback that have already been paid.

The time between the date of the card purchase and the date of  information displayed may vary, depending on how long it takes the partner merchant to process the transactions. Furthermore, UniCredit Call Center colleagues can provide an accurate statement of the sub-totals that make up the monthly cashback amount.

What should you pay attention to when paying?

When making a purchase, you must use your UniCredit Bank debit or credit cards participating in the service directly, or purchase with Apple Pay or Google Pay as a payment method. The card transaction must take place within the validity period of the offer. Regarding the date of the card transaction, the Bank's system matters, thus the corresponding transaction date and time. When making a purchase, you must pay the full price of the products and/or services. The offer must be used directly at the partner dealer.

What is not considered as a direct payment?

  • payment from an e-wallet (e.g. PayPal),
  • payment with a third party (e.g. not with the merchant's own courier, or with another shipping company),
  • payment with another application in which the card was previously registered (e.g. a card registered in the Simple application),
  • payment with a UniCredit bank card registered behind another payment card.

 

In these cases, there is no available information about the merchants and it is not possible to link the transaction with the corresponding offer.

Card+ discounts cashback

The Bank credits HUF amounts collected in the Card+ Discount program once a month to the account linked to the participant's debit and/or credit card used for payment. In the case of a debit card, the account is credited to the primary bank account linked to the user's debit card of the Account Owner, in the case of a credit card, to the credit card settlement account linked to the card, which is credited after card purchases made and posted at merchants in the previous month, no later than 30 working days after the posting. If the accounting is not done in the month of purchase, we will credit the discount in the month following the accounting. Traders can provide otherwise in their offers.​

The credit is given under the legal title "purchase discount", which is considered a tax-free allowance given for business policy purposes, based on the current regulations of the Personal Income Tax Act.​

On the Card+ tab of the Offers page of the mBanking service, participants receive information:​
a) on the credits received in the previous month, aggregated and broken down into individual transactions;​
b) on the amount of credits received during the previous months, broken down into individual transactions.

Information about the credit will appear in the account history at the latest when the amount of the discount is credited.

The Bank notifies the owner of the bank account or credit card account associated with the card about the crediting of the discounts on the account statement or on the credit card transaction statement.

Credit is only possible to an active bank card and the live bank account behind the bank card. The merchant also has the option to reject the bank card transaction used in the Discount Program if fraud is suspected.

Merchants participating in the Discount Program may limit the maximum total value of the discount per campaign. The extent of the restriction can be found in the detailed description of the offers appearing in the mBanking service. Merchants participating in the Discount Program may deviate from this limit in a way that is more favorable to the customer.​
